Krystyn, that has nothing to do with you being a bad cook. This can happen for many reasons! that they tasted good means you made them right! YAY!
But, it is so discouraging and frustrating when cookies fall flat or don’t come out how we want them too.

Here are some general reasons why cookies fall flat:

1. the dough is too warm, consider chilling the dough for a bit before cooking
2. if the cookie sheet is hot when the dough goes on it
3. if your kitchen is warm and humid
4. if you use an oil/margarine instead of real butter

Okay, I am the worst cook ever! These cookies were so flat and lifeless (although they tasted delicious). They spread out over the entire pan. Disaster! The were thin wafers. What did I do wrong? Also, the recipe doesn't state where to put the vanilla and cinnamon. I added the vanilla to the creamed mixture and the cinnamon at the end. Help! Krystyn’s latest briliancePSF-Izzy's egg
