When you ask people what the first thing they notice about others is; they say teeth or eyes.
For me, it’s teeth. Probably because I am so self conscious about my own. I hate smiling because I hate my teeth. All the way through college my teeth were perfectly straight and then my wisdom teeth came in and they knocked my smile all whackadoo.
I have some crowding in the lower teeth and some shifting in my upper teeth and now, I hate smiling.
I also, due to silliness, neglected my teeth, drank lots of sodas and red wine and generally did not take good care of my teeth, as a result they have a bit of a discoloration to them. It’s not bad, but it’s enough that I am very aware of it.
When I was contacted to try the Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal whitening strips, I jumped at the chance. I am not only super teeth conscious, I am also a cheapskate a tad bit frugal and I am very reluctant to spend money on things if I don’t know that they will give me the desired results.
These little suckers, totally worth the $45. I am buying some for Nathan.
They are ridiculously easy to use, peel, stick and go. And other than the fact that I felt the need to spit because of excess salivation, 30 minutes with these on my teeth for two weeks was a piece of cake.
I put them on in the mornings while getting myself or the kids ready for the day, pulled the sticky little suckers off and tossed them, then brushed my teeth.
Nathan even noticed a difference! Woo hoo!
After the first use I could see (and feel) a difference in my teeth, after 3 days, a very noticeable difference and after the two weeks.. I notice a huge difference. My teeth are definitely whiter and they look healthier. I am much more confident in my smile, although I am still way too conscious that my teeth aren’t straight, but hey.. thanks to these nifty little strips, I am halfway to my desired smile!

Thanks for the review! I can’t even say I’m frugal – just always broke enough to resist spending big bucks on something (like you said) I’m not sure will work. Were they slimy? I tried some Crest whitestrips a few years ago, and didn’t finish them because they were so gross…

I, as you know, have braces. I get them off this summer and I have lined up an appt already for whitening trays.
But this will definetly be an option for me in the future. I’m actually glad to know they work. $45 is just enough that you hesitate, wondering if there will be a noticible difference.

Love the Crest strips! Funny you should write this today. I had braces as a kid and since then my teeth have shifted badly. I went to the dentist today – going to break down and get Invisalign on my top teeth!! Can’t wait – I too am so uncomfortable with my crooked teeth. I love White-Strips. I haven’t had to buy them for a couple of years, because I’ve been able to maintain the whiteness with toothpaste. The price has gone up, but I’ll still buy them. They’re definitely worth the money.
