Let me ask you a question.
Superbowl Sunday: are you in it for the food, the football, the commercials, or are you just in it for the party?
Don’t let the following pictures sway you…
Easy Appetizer Recipes for Superbowl
Go ahead, be honest… this is a no judgment zone.
I’m not going to lie, as a born and bred Texan, I’m definitely in it for the football, but I’m also in it for the football food. and the commercials. and the friends and family.
This year, the Superbowl is here in Houston, and I can tell y’all that the entire city is in a tizzy, the sheer amount of extra people is bonkers, and the celebrations have been happening for months.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that football, food, family, and friends are a huge part of our lives and that I thrive on appetizers, and party foods!
Even though the kids and I will be out of town for a cheer competition (Go Adrenaline Family!) We will still be checking phones, and taking turns watching the Superbowl on the TVs at the competition, I still wanted to share with y’all some super easy, crowd-pleasing, and delicious appetizer recipes that will help you to be the MVP of your Superbowl party!
Some of these recipes have been on the blog since the very beginning, some are newer to the blog, and some I’ve been making since Moby Dick was a minnow, and definitely need to photograph again and update!
These slow cooker buffalo chicken sliders have all the flavor of your favorite game day buffalo wings, with all the ease of slow cooker foods, and the sliders can be customized for each guest! WIN!!
I’ve had people who swear they hate cheeseballs, devour this cheeseball and ask for the recipe. 5 cheeses, crushed red pepper, walnuts, green onions, and more. Bonus points for shaping it like a football!
There’s a 2-gallon bag of this going with us this weekend, and I’ll be surprised if it lasts past day 1. This recipe has gotten me banned from friends houses, unless I take it home with me, because they can’t stop eating it, on the flip side, it’s also gotten me invited places, and I’ve had many drinks bought for me. Everyone loves this; from my 2-year-old niece to my incredibly picky 13-year-old, to the cheer coaches, teachers, and more. Seriously, y’all. MAKE THIS.
This Spinach Artichoke dip is my mom’s recipe, and I first posted it on the blog in 2009 – let that sink it. I desperately need to update the pictures and post, but every time I make it, it disappears before I even pick up my camera! It’s that good, y’all. Pro tip – hollow out a bread bowl and toast it with a light brushing of garlic butter. Fill it with this spinach artichoke dip, heat in the oven until lightly bubbling. You’re welcome.
This is the recipe that converted my husband to an avocado lover. No joke, y’all. These homemade avocado fries paired with creamy homemade ranch dressing… y’all. Y’ALL! These will make a believer out of anyone. Trust me.
Y’all, that picture doesn’t do this recipe justice. This loaded baked potato dip has real potatoes, bacon, cheese, green onions, ranch….. are you intrigued? You should be. You’ve never had a loaded baked potato dip like this one before. Whenever I make this, it’s the first thing to disappear, thus no new photos. 🙂
Chocolate Dipped Potato Chips. Need I say more?
This is the most amazing guacamole, y’all. Seriously, I know that sounds like a big claim, but it’s truly the most amazing guacamole!
Okay.. there you have it! 8 incredibly delicious and easy appetizers to help make your superbowl party delicious, and make you the true MVP!
