The Hidden Me

Hiding deep inside
the recesses of my heart
corners of my mind

There hides a woman
Me. The one I will become.
An uphill battle.

Going back to God
rediscovering His Grace
Opening my Heart

I’m unhappy with
what the mirror shows me
that’s not who I am

I will exercise
both my body and my mind
I will shed the pounds

I will shed the doubt
I will love myself again
The way I deserve

Haiku Friday finds it’s home here

Hugs girl. I think you’re pretty spectacular just the way you are…but I do know how you feel about wanting to be better.

I’m with you. I offer my support.

  2. Very nicely done. I think most of us reach places like that once in awhile where it’s time to take ourselves back from whatever it is we’ve given ourselves to in our place. Beautifully haiku’d.

Mine’s up, too. The saga is almost complete. 😉

  3. This was so beautiful Rachel. I too am on a mission to better myself both inside and out. It is time I devout some time to myself.

    This was lovely.

  4. Oh honey, I think you are beautiful just the way you are. But obviously there are some inner workings that need help.

Honor yourself, love thyself, and the rest will fall into place.
