Weekly Winners: The Tonguegasms of New Orleans Edition
I’m at the New Orleans airport right now, waiting on a flight home from one of the most wonderful, food filled weekends I’ve had in a long time. Laura, Stephanie, Kristen, Jim and I were treated to some serious amazingness this weekend.
We were whisked around New Orleans by some truly lovely people from Weber Shandwick and Zatarain’s. There were multiple tonguegasms and I’m just going to share a few of them with you today.
Enjoy, y’all – and sorry to make y’all jealous 😉
I cannot wait to tell y’all more about this weekend and share the pictures and stories and laughter — right now, I’m on airport wi-fi and my it’s slow as molasses and I think my first flight is fixin’ to board. Hugs and Kisses and Deliciousness, y’all!

You’re just killing me with the pictures. I want to return to NOLA!
awwww Ellen <3 Make plans to go! We had the most amazing time!
How cool! Pictures look great. Hope you made it to Muriel’s and August!
Thanks, Laura! We went to August and it was AMAZING. Those shrimp were served at August. A special Zatarain’s recipe just for us – deeevine!
The strawberry dessert was there, too! We went to Borgne, Domenica, August and Brennan’s and Mother’s for late night po’r boys 😉
The lighting on the first two shots is fantastic!
And yum yum yum!
Thank you, Denise! We were in a really dim restaurant with HUGELY vaulted ceilings. I busted out my flash and bounced it off the adjacent wall 😉
I was following along on Instagram the whole weekend. It looks like you guys had a delicious time!
Natalie – it was stellar! Thanks for following along! I had a blast instagramming the weekend.
I am drooling all over that pizza. The crust. The toppings. Oh my! As hard as I try, we just can’t make a pizza like that at home. I think the secret is in the blazing hot oven.
Allison, that was hands down THE BEST pizza crust I’ve ever had. EVER. It was at Domenica.
They have a pizza oven that is phenomenal.
All of that food looks fabulous! I love NOLA cuisine.
Tara, there’s nothing like it. So much flavor and history in every bite.
I’ve enjoyed following you all on twitter and Instagram…although it made me insanely jealous 🙂
🙂 Hee Hee Hee 😉
Aimee, if I’d been at home following along, I’d have been jealous, too. My husband quit looking at my Facebook and Instagram because he was so jealous of all the amazing food 😉
I loved reading about your trip. We lived in New Orleans for 5 years and still cook the food. We miss eating there, though. I have a new New Orleans link up going on and would LOVE for you to link this up and any post you do related to New Orleans. Thanks, Susie
Linked up, Susie! Thanks so much.
There will be more to come 🙂 Happy Monday!
Thanks for linking up! I did give you a pin! I can’t wait for you to link up more! http://cafescrapper-scrapsoflife.blogspot.com/2012/02/its-carnival-time-link-up-anything-new.html
I have never eaten that much or that well IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Probably haven’t laughed as much either.
Seriously, the laughter. The laughing until we CRY is all kinds of wonderful. My stomach still hurts 😉
The food, oh my word.. THE FOOD.
It was unreal
There is no doubt in my mind that this weekend was the beginning of many beautiful friendships 🙂 I am already looking forward to the next time we can all share some laughs again!
Great pics! Sorry to say I’m not jealous because I live here so I get to partake of everything New Orleans has to offer on a daily basis. Glad you got to visit us and hope you get to come back soon!
This past weekend was one of the best trips ever! I am sure it was the foundation of fun and long friendships for all of us! good food and good people = great combo!! 🙂
