Texas Hot Tea Toddy

A traditional hot toddy turned on its head with the addition of tea and jalapeños, a delicious and kicked up way to soothe a sore throat and warm the body

  • 2 ounces Maker's Mark Whisky
  • 1 White Christmas Tea Bag
  • 4 jalapeño slices
  • hot water to fill
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey


  • Muddle 2 jalapeño slices in the bottom of your cup
  • Add the tea bag and pour hot water to steep, leaving room for 2 ounces of whisky, steep for 5 minutes and remove tea bag
  • Pour honey over this, and then add the whisky
  • Stir lightly, garnish with jalapeño slices for flair
