Three Types of Corporate Getaways in 2025

When your employees are doing well and the business is thriving, there is no better way to say thank you to everyone than to book and go on a corporate getaway. Going away with your employees allows you to spend some quality time together outside the working environment, whilst also rewarding them for their hard work and dedication to you – often, you’ll find your employees come back more motivated as they feel valued.
The type of corporate getaway you can go on will vary hugely and very much depends on the numbers and the interests of your employees. If you have a fitness-enthusiastic team, then an activity getaway could be perfect. If your team likes to relax, then a spa break could be in order, or you could go for a city break as this is a good compromise.
Below, we look into three types of corporate getaways.
Activity Getaway
If you have a team of people who love to be active and spend their spare time outside of working doing sports or exercising, then an activity getaway could be the perfect option. An activity holiday can vary from a walking trip to a ski trip or a cycling trip; there are so many different types you can do. What a good suggestion is, would be to book a retreat which includes various activities in one, such as paddle boarding one day, cycling the next, and ending on a hike.
Relaxing Getaway
Sometimes work can be very stressful, and all you want to do is forget about it and relax. If you think the last couple of months at your office have been stressful, then going on a relaxing getaway can be the perfect way to recharge. Whether it’s lounging at a luxury beach resort, enjoying spa treatments, practising yoga in a serene setting, or simply taking long walks in nature, a wellness-focused escape helps you unwind, reset your mind, and return to work feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
City Break Getaway
A safe option that is often chosen by many is a city break, and there is no surprise when you think of the benefits it offers. When on a city break, you have the option of doing a load of different things. You could see a theatre show, book an experience meal, visit a rooftop bar, stay in a spa hotel, and more. Plus, when you go on a city break, you don’t always need a long time; it could be over two or three days. If you think your employees all like different things, then a city break could be the compromise to please everyone.
The above is a touch on the plethora of corporate getaways you can go on. What type do you think you will be booking? Will you be booking an activity, relaxing, or a city break getaway?
