Justin Cassota was born on November 14, 1982, in Los Angeles, California. As of 2025, he’s 43 years old.
According to his Facebook profile, Cassotta attended Valencia High School and later graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Cassota is best known as the ex-husband of actress Taylor Dooley. He met Dooley when she was 19 and he was 30. They got married in 2016 and separated five years later in August 2021.

Cassota and Dooley have two children: Jack Alexander Cassotta, born on November 23, 2016, and Adaline Joan Cassotta, born on March 22, 2019.
Cassota’s current career is unknown to the public. However, some sources claim that he used to work as an engineer in an elevator company known as ThyssenKrupp Elevator before pursuing a music career.

Dooley, on the other hand, has been more open about the reasons behind their split.
According to Dooley, she has allegedly suffered emotional abuse from her ex-husband. In the Vulnerable Podcast with Christy Carlson Romano, Dooley shared that Cassota frequently gaslighted her, made her question her sanity, and was verbally abusive.
“I would try to set a boundary, saying things like, ‘This is not okay. You can’t talk to me like that. You can’t yell at me like this.’ And he would respond with, ‘You’re crazy. I’m the only person in this world who would ever love you. No one else is going to care about you the way I do,’ she told Christy. “And it would just keep going like that, over and over, because I was a kid.”
Justin Cassota has yet to release a statement against the allegations made about him.
