  12. So hard. So so hard. I am so sorry for your loss. He is lucky to have had a home with your family. We lost our BIG german shepherd almost 3.5 years ago …still feels like yesterday. They will always live in our hearts – they never really leave 🙂 XOXO

  16. Oh, I’m so very sorry for all of you. It’s so hard to lose a pet, especially a dog because they become part of your family. So very sorry you have to go through this and I know it must be such a sad time for you all right now. Thinking of you and sending out prayers for you!

  18. I am so so so very sorry for your loss. We lost our sweet girl, Lilly, back in September and I was just devastated. They are such amazing members of our family, and they are far too fragile with lives too short. An amazing gift, but it hurts so much when we lose them. She was so lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing family. <3

Sunlight streams through window pane unto a spot on the floor……then I remember, it’s where you used to lie, but now you are no more, Our feet walk down a hall of carpet and muted echoes sound…then I remember, It’s where your paws would joyously abound. A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill, then I remember it can’t be yours….your golden voice is still. But I’ll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I’ll wrap these treasured memorials in a blanket of my love and keep them for my best friend until we meet above. Author Unknown

  28. Hello Rachel, my heart goes out to you. Never have a photo spoken more clearly and had so much feeling as this. As the mama of two dogs, this is something I know its in the future and no matter what, it is hard and nearly impossible to prepare for. Sending a big hug.
