Get your Grill On

[donotprint]So, y’all know that I’m hosting a Grillin’ Beans BBQ at my house on Friday.

I went to the store today and bought thick delicious juicy looking pork chops, drumsticks (for the kids) and Texas size chicken quarters to serve as the main dishes; I got corn on the cob to grill and turn into corn and jalapeno salad, watermelon for a sweet surprise, potatoes for a chilled potato vinaigrette salad and more.  All of these items will complement the deliciousness of my star side dish, Bush’s Grillin’ Beans.

Do you see the gorgeous gleam of that Cobalt Blue Emile Henry Dutch Oven?  I kind of want to carry that with me, it’s that gorgeous and amazing.

The lovely people of Bush’s Beans sent me a Grillin’ Kit – with Grillin’ Tools, that amazingly delicious Dutch Oven, a cute Bush’s Beans Apron and a $50 Visa card to help out with my Cookout and if y’all stay tuned, you’ll get a chance to win one.

I can’t even begin to tell y’all how much I love the filtered afternoon sun is when it’s gleaming off that Dutch Oven as it’s cookin’ on my Grill.

I digress.

Friday I’ll be coolin’ everyone off with a delicious Summer Breeze

and rockin’ their world with my favorite Pork Chop Rub

: Spice Rubbed Grilled Pork Chops
  1. 1 tsp garlic powder
  2. 2 tsp ground coriander
  3. 2 tsp ground cumin
  4. 1 tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
  5. 2 tsp brown sugar
  6. 1 tsp paprika
  7. 2 tsp olive oil
  1. Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops
  2. Mix all the spices in a bowl and then rub a bit over each pork chop
  3. Place the pork chops in a zip close baggie and smoosh around so that each pork chop is fully coated
  4. Marinate for 1 hour to overnight
  5. Place on the grill over medium flame and grill for 8 – 12 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 F
  6. Remove from grill and allow to rest for 3 minutes, allowing the juices to reabsorb into the chop
  7. Serve with your favorite grillin’ sides

Number of servings (yield): 4

[donotprint]I’ll share the rest of the recipes, more pictures, and the giveaway after our cookout on Friday

Stay tuned, y’all 😉

This post is part of a sponsored project in conjunction with Bush’s Beans.  My opinions, recipes, thoughts, ideas, etc.. are completely my own.  I am being compensated for my participation however, Bush’s won my heart when they sent flowers and a card after my FIL’s passing and allowed me to stay on even though my participation didn’t fit into the outlined time parameters.  Bush’s rocks.  period.

I <3 Edelman, too 😉
